Field notes

Notes from the room on marking, failure lines, and the Sunday page.

Written by the people who teach the studio. Each note is a method we use on a specific evening, not a market forecast.

Write the invalidation line before the entry

The studio asks for the sentence “this idea is wrong if” before any entry price. Students who reverse that order rarely follow the page.

One weekly page beats another indicator

Sunday review in this room is one page — trades taken, trades skipped, and whether the written plan was the thing you followed.

Mark a swing high without filling the page

The room uses one rule on the timeframe named in the plan, then stops. Most crowded pages come from marking a second timeframe too early.

Keep one timeframe pair in the plan

Daily with the one-hour, or the four-hour with the fifteen-minute. A third timeframe has to earn a retirement of one of those, not a new page.
